We suggest a dental exam and cleaning every six to nine months. However, there are several factors which determine how often you visit the dentist. Your overall dental health, how often you brush and floss, if you smoke, if you have a history of cavities and/or gum disease, and your overall health all determine the need for frequent dental exams.
How often you need to have x-rays depends on your oral health. A healthy adult who has not had cavities or other problems for a couple of years probably won't need x-rays at every appointment. If your dental situation is less stable, you may require more frequent x-rays. Dental x-rays deliver very little radiation and are a vital tool for us to ensure that small problems don't develop into bigger ones.
It's important to get an early start on dental care, so that your child will learn that visiting the dentist is a regular part of health care. We suggest you bring your child for the first time between one and two years of age although if you think your child has a dental problem we will see them immediately no matter what their age.
For your convenience we will direct bill most insurance plans and ask only that you pay your remaining portion at your dental visit. We encourage our patients to become familiar with their dental plan as it is impossible for us to know what your specific plan covers. Payment is required at the time treatment is rendered but if you require payment options please make arrangements with our receptionists prior to treatment. We accept cash, debit, and all major credit cards and will arrange a payment plan for you if necessary.
